187 mobile professionals gave their views on how they use mobile devices, applications and services. As well, I asked questions about the scope of potential new applications of interest to them. Here's what one segment, the customer-facing professionals, said about the usefulness of directory search service. How useful is mobile directory search to you?Directory search. Imagine a service where any employee can be reached using a search window on your cell phone. You enter their name and the server searches for their name. Presence status such as ‘on-the-phone’ or ‘in a meeting’ are presented to you. Once the result is returned you can click on them to instant message or call them.
