Desktop video conferencing is not the geeky technology toy it used to be. With the advent of high speed networks, built-in cameras, and excellent computers, H.264 on the desk is not as far fetched as it used to be.

Desktop video conferencing is the small business video system of choice. Two times more small businesses use desktop systems than do room video conferencing. As well, desktop video conferencing sessions are 45% shorter on average than face-to-face meetings. Surprisingly, customers were the most frequent desktop video conferencing participants.
