Messaging is an important element of business communications. Historically, it began with voicemail in the mid-1980s, then email and today includes SMS, instant messaging and more recently can encompass social media such as blogging and wikis. In the course of the Brockmann & Company Messaging Research program, insights into the adoption, use and importance of various messaging services and capabilities are presented.
In late 2007, half of the human population had a mobile phone. Many of these are business-centric implementations for traveling executives and busy sales and support professionals. Mobility issues and opportunities are discussed and presented in this framework.
Prior to forming Brockmann & Company in 2007, Peter Brockmann wrote white papers and conducted market research as part of his duties as a marketing executive and thought leader. His writings cover enterprise SIP-based VoIP systems, VoIP Security and enterprise fixed-mobile convergence and include writings for Nortel, 3Com and FirstHand Technologies.
